Hillmont Partners organizing the round table on human rights with the support of the Ukrainian Bar Association
On May 17, 2018, a round table will be held on the recent decision of the European Court of Human Rights, “Freedom of expression and the right to respect for private life: the search for a balance of rights and duties.”
The event will be held with the support of the Ukrainian Bar Association and the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and Human Rights.
Well-known lawyers and journalists will discuss the following issues:
journalistic investigations, including with the use of a hidden camera and subsequent demonstration of plots;
public statements by government officials and their evaluation of events, which are of significant public interest;
distribution of offensive statements towards public figures in the media and social networks.
