Kostyantyn Chyzhyk is Partner, Head of the firm’s Government Relations and Public Advocacy practice. A renowned specialist in investments, energy and international cooperation, a proactive reformer and strong anti-crisis manager, Kostyantyn leads a team of specialists advising clients on the features of the Ukrainian political and regulatory environment.
Kostyantyn Chyzhyk has extensive experience of the public administration sector, both at the level of the Office of the President and ministries, as well as regional administrative agencies. He is one of the developers and integrators of powerful projects on the Euro-integration of Ukraine and innovation development, promotion of the country’s investment potential and its key industries on world markets.
His achievements also include participation in the development and advocacy of the gas production auctions launch under production sharing agreements, reform of the alternative energy market, a new method for connecting to the electricity grid, a draft law on concessions, a new bankruptcy code, an IT export strategy for Ukraine.
Professional experience
As Deputy Minister of Energy and Ecology, Kostyantyn coordinated European integration, investments, digital transformation, and security, worked on renewable energy sector stabilization and reform, launched new auctions on gas extraction, and managed the largest sectoral loan and grant portfolio in the government of $1.2 billion.
As Deputy Head and later as Head of the Investment Promotion Office under the President of Ukraine, Kostyantyn unlocked and secured more than $1 billion of foreign direct investments.
As Advisor to Minister of Finance of Ukraine (Natalie Jaresko and Alex Danyliuk), he promoted IMF-backed reforms and managed cooperation with investors and the IMF, World Bank, EBRD, EIB and other stakeholders.
Kostyantyn also worked at the EU Embassy in Ukraine, GIZ, USAID and Canadian Government funded projects.
