Hillmont Partners supports the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy team participating in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot
Hillmont Partners is pleased to announce its partnership with the team of students from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy participating in the 33rd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
The firm has provided financial support to help cover the students’ logistical expenses related to participating in the pre-moot in Munich and the oral arguments stage of the competition in Vienna in spring 2026. In addition, Iryna Nahorniak, Senior Associate in the firm’s International Dispute Resolution practice, will provide expert guidance to the team as they prepare for the moot. She will share her insights on effectively combining legal analysis with practical advocacy to resolve complex cross-border disputes.
Hillmont Partners has also discussed with the students potential opportunities for paid internships with the firm following the competition. Olha Tsetsenova, Chief People Officer, presented the firm’s approach to professional development, emphasizing how students and junior professionals refine their litigation skills within the International Dispute Resolution practice. She highlighted the firm’s strong mentoring culture, through which senior practitioners guide young lawyers in gaining practical experience representing clients in sophisticated cross-border litigation proceedings.

The goal of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration for resolution of international business disputes through its application to a concrete problem of a client. The moot consists of submitting written memoranda prior to the moot on designated dates for both sides of the dispute. The oral arguments phase of the moot is annually held in Vienna, Austria.
The Moot is organized by the Association for the Organization and Promotion of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Its institutional members are Pace University, Queen Mary, Stockholm University, University of Vienna, etc.
