Valentyn Zasukha heads the Banking and Finance, and Corporate and M&A practices at the firm.

Valentyn Zasukha is one of the market’s top experts in investments, business transfers and private equity transactions. With over two decades of experience as a legal manager and advisor, he has handled a large number of corporate restructurings and reorganizations, including cross-border mergers and divisions, capital structures, pre- and post-M&A developments, JVs and exit strategies.

His experience includes many landmark and innovative deals involving Ukrainian businesses or Ukraine as an investment destination. These relate to syndicate lending, subordinated debt, refinancing, title financing, as well as guiding businesses and private investors through corporate governance issues and banking and financial services regulatory.

Professional experience

Valentyn has experience coordinating the legal function within major national investment companies, financial institutions and NPL funds. He acted as a lead advisor on a large number of domestic and cross-border transactions for Ukrainian and international companies, private equity funds, venture funds and owner-managers.

Valentyn is the Chairman of the Banking, Finance and Insurance Law Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA). He also serves as the Head of the Appeals Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Football.
